Deborah is a fellow photographer and I was very honored when she chose me to take her maternity photos, in this case winter maternity photos! Since her other photography sessions were in a warm climate, she really wanted some snow this time around. Just a few days before her scheduled session, I got really excited as the forecast predicted up to 7 inches of snow here in Asheville. But alas, this forecast quickly changed into a frozen snow mess. By Friday most of the ice was gone, but we were still able to find some patches of snow/ice at the Asheville Botanical Gardens. Not only did her family travel two hours to Asheville, they were also troopers on this 33 degree Friday. These images prove that with a little bit of extra planning, even winter outdoor sessions can be beautiful.

Even in winter months maternity photos can be successfully done outdoors.
